One Roll, One Day | February 2020

After last month’s blog circle I was super inspired by all of the beautiful black and white images, I just knew I needed to shoot some for my February roll! For this month, I shot HP5 at 1600 in my Canon EOS 3 and I really love the contrast and grain it has in the right light! It is interesting, I remember so many of these images in color and they look totally different in black & white.. perhaps a great challenge for me to continue to work on! Why hasn’t that dawned on me before?

I also was unsure if I would get my scans back in time for this month’s post. By Indie’s time frame estimates, it could have been really close but I was thrilled to receive an early scan day! It is always so exciting to relive the images once they’re developed.

For this month, I chose to document our breakfast routine and an afternoon adventure to the Boston Children’s Museum. We could have spent the whole entire day exploring the museum but we went in after a morning at our school co-op. We got to meet up with my brother-in-law and grabbed a quick dinner before heading home. Side note- our dog had surgery and this has been the never ending recovery… so glad I captured him this month, he will probably still be like this in my March roll too!

I am really enjoying this One Day, One Roll project and I’m loving seeing everybody’s take month by month. Be sure to visit Peter's blog next and follow along with everyone’s projects!
