January Photography Workshop Recap | Hudson, MA

I have so enjoyed helping others use their cameras with confidence to capture their surroundings the way they envision. I wanted to share a little recap of the class I held in January and share what has been happening since then!

On a cold January afternoon we met in The Landing at Hudson Mills. The sun was streaming through the large windows and this beautiful space was full of inspiration and functionally cozy for us to learn in! I kept the class small due to the rising case numbers in our area at the time. The intimate learning environment allowed me to help each person find every setting we discussed and for lots of practice! We discussed focusing our cameras, metering modes, white balance, and the exposure triangle. Everyone was able to instantly apply the skills we talked about and we were also able to troubleshoot on the spot!

I love this type of learning environment because I get to see it all click and watch each student apply their own personal style to the skills as they continue to learn.

Students practicing with one another

These are some of the images that we created during our time together! We played with exposure, composition, different types of light, shutter speed and so much more! Each of my students has taken what they learned and applied it at home as well, which makes my heart sing! I also have a passion for supporting small local businesses. If you own a business that you would like to have incorporated in to my next workshop, let me know, I would love to brainstorm ways to work together!

Continued practice leads to stronger photographers. Check out my post on how to grow as a photographer for some photo project ideas!
